Justin Lin for AKIRA Live-Action Film?

Comicbook Movie reports that Warner Bros. are courting Justin Lin ("Star Trek Beyond", "The Fast and the Furious" 3-6) to direct their live-action adaptation of "AKIRA".

Hey I am down with a remake of my fav classic… as long as it's IN "Neo-Tokyo" (NOT "New Manhatten") and has Asian protagonists named "Kaneda" and "Tetsuo", please? THAAAAANKS!

I suppose it might be up to live action Ghost In The Shell film with Scarlett Johansson and how it'll fare at the box office tho, innit? *YIKES*
